The innovative VarioS S pinwheel series of pumps are now included with Reef Octopus Regal Skimmers. The new pumps’ DC power source offers various benefits over older AC-style pumps. The supplied control unit or a third-party controller may completely control the VarioS pumps. With five different preset speeds and a variety of feed modes, Regal skimmers may be tailored for the best performance on your specific system.
Because there is greater area in the skimmers reaction chamber and less overall turbulence, externally mounted pumps on internal protein skimmers are typically more effective than internal pumps on space-saving models. Although they do take up a little more room, you will get far better results if your sump can accommodate a protein skimmer with an externally mounted pump.
