Description

Reef Octopus In Sump 6″ Space Saving Protein Skimmer from Reef Octopus has a controlled VarioS DC pump to process more or less water, depending on your configuration, and a pump built into the body of the skimmer to save valuable sump space.

The innovative VarioS S pinwheel series of pumps are now included with Reef Octopus Regal Skimmers. The new pumps’ DC power source offers various benefits over older AC-style pumps. A third-party controller or the supplied control unit may completely control the VarioS pumps. With 5 different preset speeds and a variety of feed modes, Regal skimmers may be customized for the best performance on your specific system.

Since the pumps are housed inside the body of the protein skimmers, they require a significantly smaller footprint. The increased height optimizes the amount of contact/dwell time and response chamber size, allowing for enhanced filtration capabilities. These sorts of skimmers are often a little bit taller than its counterpart.
