With Reef Octopus VarioS DC pumps, you can precisely adjust the flow through the reactors, sump, or closed loop system of your aquarium while also gaining improved performance.
You may fully manage the pump’s flow, enter feed modes (15 or 60 minutes), add a safety float switch (included), or simply link it to a different controller, such as an Apex, using the VarioS Controller.

Control
The new VarioS controller, which gives you additional control, is now included with the secure and energy-efficient VarioS DC pump. The controller provides two feed modes and five energy-saving speeds so you can see at a glance how your pump is operating.
Third Party Control
The VarioS controller has a specific interface that allows you to easily connect your VarioS pump to any other controller using a 0-10V reference port. When using a controller like an Apex to regulate your pump, you may design your own flow profiles, which is useful for closed-loop systems that distribute water randomly around an aquarium.
Safety
There are various benefits to having a pump that allows you to directly attach a float switch. You may use the float to establish high or low positions in your sump, skimmer cup, or display tank so that when the float is engaged, the pump will turn off.
A watertight 3-conductor union on the VarioS controller connects to the pump to form a secure yet removable connection.
