The multichip LED light technology that Kessil pioneered is well recognized. We, along with many other amateurs, have grown to rely on their exceptional spectrum-blending capabilities and balanced light distribution. 55 LED chips are contained inside an area no larger than a quarter thanks to Kessil’s proprietary Dense Matrix Array.

The AP9X features the greatest color mixing in the business with 110 LED chips split between two arrays – no diffuser or disco-ball effect required! The chips are now closer than ever in Kessil’s most recent Dense Matrix array. Similar to how the Sun appears on a genuine coral reef, more chips packed into a smaller area produce greater color blending and a single point source that is brighter. The newly developed optics offer a uniform light distribution that covers your aquarium up to 48″ deep and can deliver useful PAR levels as far below the surface as 30″. PAR Efficient

All visible light is measured by PAR, but the wavelengths of 425 nm (violet) and 455 nm (royal blue) are most important for coral health. Kessil LED output concentrates on these crucial wavelengths in order to promote coral development over exaggerated total PAR values.Less energy is lost as heat as a result of better heat management and more efficient LED chips. Spectrum

Kessil Ecosystem

The AP9X’s two K-Link and two 0-10V control connectors make it simple to connect it to nearby Kessil fixtures. The AP9X’s WiFi connection may then be used to control the lights in a wired group using an app. The wireless access point for up to 32 X-Series lights and 20 0-10V lights might be one AP9X.

K-Link + WiFi
