Description
Reef Octopus Water Blaster Circulation Pump
The Water Blaster pumps, which are made to push a lot of water, are based on the same design as the well-known Bubble Blaster skimmer pumps. A digital control circuit board that is built inside these pumps regulates the RPM speeds and directional start-up. If the pump develops a condition that may otherwise have reduced its lifespan, the smart circuit board will turn the pump off. Unlike ceramics, Silicon Nitride shafts and bearings prevent calcium accumulation on the rotor. As a result, your aquarium will require less care and cleaning, giving you more time to enjoy it. How can you go wrong with the functionality of these pumps and the support of a 2-year warranty?
We offer several different models for water flow and head pressures.
Note: THIS IS NOT A PRESSURE RATED PUMP. This pump is not ideal for second floor applications or to feed Beckett or downdraft skimmers where consistent pressure is necessary.

The Water Blaster HY-10,000w pump offers super efficiency and performance.
Energy Efficient – Compared to other traditional pumps, Water Blaster pumps use less energy and are more efficient. Has little to no impact on the water temperature in your tank while operating at a reasonably chilly temperature.
Bubble Blaster ImpellerSilicon Nitride Impeller – Silicon nitride is used to make the shaft and bearings of the impeller. Unlike other ceramics, silicon nitride is extremely wear-resistant and prevents calcium buildup. Consequently, less maintenance is required, which increases operational life.
Digital Circuit Board – The direction of start-up, RPM speeds, and an automatic shut-off feature if the Water Blaster senses a fault are all controlled by the digital control circuit board.
2 Year Warranty – Enjoy piece of mind knowing that Water Blaster pumps are covered by a 24-month warranty against faulty manufacture and defective materials.
Note: THIS IS NOT A PRESSURE RATED PUMP. This pump is not ideal for second floor applications or to feed Beckett or downdraft skimmers where consistent pressure is necessary.
*Under normal usage and for a period of two years after the initial purchase, guaranteed against material or workmanship flaws. From the date of retail purchase, this guarantee is in effect and is not transferable. As evidence of purchase, kindly save a copy of your sales receipt. Pump for the Bubble Blaster will either be fixed or replaced at the manufacturer’s choice. Any Bubble Blaster pump that has suffered damage due to abuse, carelessness, tampering, or accident is not covered by this guarantee. No responsibility is taken for any loss or damage to animals or personal property, regardless of the reason. This guarantee does not apply to failure brought on by abuse.
MAINTENANCE
The shaft and bearings may wear down significantly as a result of sand and lime deposits, which may result in the warranty being voided. Periodic cleaning is necessary for the pump to continue operating efficiently. At least once every six months, thoroughly clean the cooling duct, drive assembly, and pump at regular intervals. Shorter intervals could be required when there is a lot of silt, a high lime concentration, or failures.
WARNING: Before servicing a pump, installing equipment, or handling a piece of equipment, always unplug or disconnect it from the electrical supply. Always unplug the main electrical plug before entering or withdrawing the pump from the water. Never take the plug out of the outlet by pulling on the cable. To detach, grasp the plug and pull.
When not in use, always disconnect an appliance from the outlet. By the cable, never raise the pump.
SERVICING / DISASSEMBLY
Detach the pump from the skimmer body and unplug it from the power supply.
Clean the exterior of the pump motor body to get rid of any accumulation or dirt.
By removing the Phillips head screws securing the volute to the pump body, you may remove it.
Remove the impeller, the cooling duct, and the bearings to check for any obvious wear, damage, debris, or accumulation. * Take caution when handling the impeller shaft.
Pump body and components should be submerged for a number of hours or longer, depending on the amount of accumulation, in a solution of vinegar and water (50%-50% mix). Use of detergents or other chemical cleaners, which might harm the pump or contaminate the aquarium, is NOT RECOMMENDED.
Carefully clean and reassemble the parts. (You can apply silicone-based lubricant to extend the life of o-rings or gaskets before re-installing.)
Plug a power supply into the pump and reinstall it in service.
NOTE: Always repair any worn parts to maintain the pump functioning properly. No components of the pump motor may be repaired by the user. Throw away the pump if the motor or electrical wire are damaged. Contact us or your Water Blaster merchant if you have any questions.
