TEMPERATURE PROBE

The health of your inhabitants depends critically on maintaining a constant and steady temperature in the aquarium. It is imperative to continuously monitor the temperature, particularly when it varies throughout the day.

For an aquarium to be successful, you must have a reliable temperature monitoring system that also warns you when temperatures are too high or too low.

Included with Apex Pro, Apex, and Apex Jr

PH PROBE

In order to maintain healthy coral in a reef aquarium, pH must be maintained consistently. The organisms of the aquarium experience less stress when the pH is steady.

Monitoring pH not only enables you to adjust for desired parameter stability, but it also acts as a crucial early warning system to alert you to adverse chemical changes.

Included with Apex Pro, Apex, and Apex Jr

ORP PROBE

Water purity is gauged by something called ORP, or oxidation reduction potential. The ORP level infers subtly that the beneficial bacteria in the aquarium might lessen toxins like nitrates and ammonia, among others. In the end, it is a measure of the electrical charge that is available to disintegrate these pollutants.

Unexpected fluctuations in ORP are frequently indicative of harmful organic events occurring in the aquarium. The shift in ORP can serve as a crucial signal to look into or take action if a fish passes or if there is an abundance of food. Only available for the Apex Pro.

OPTICAL LEAK SENSOR

An upgraded variant of the Solid-Surface Leak Sensor is the Optical Multi Surface Leak Sensor (LD-2).

Improvements include an epoxy construction that enables the sensor to be used frequently and an optical sensor that enables placement of the sensor on any surface—including metal and epoxied cement floors—without causing a false activation. Only available with the Apex Pro.

SOLID SURFACE LEAK SENSOR

Time is crucial when there is water on the floor. This sensor will connect with your Apex when it comes in contact with liquid in order to deliver a warning or start other processes.

This sensor, which has a cable length of 5 meters (16.3 feet), is essential for installation both inside and outside of your sump. Included with the Apex and Apex Jr.

OPTICAL SENSOR

Consider a clever float switch. Water above or below the sensor site is detected by the optical sensor.

The Magnetic Optical Sensor now has a better appearance and feel. The rapid and simple mounting is made possible by the sealed enclosure, which keeps out water, and the magnetic mounting system. Included with the Apex and Apex Jr.

LIQUID LEVEL SENSOR (LLS)

How much water have you put in? How much remaining solution? Up until recently, the only way to determine it was by taking a measurement.

Aquarists now have a brand-new tool that is only available from Apex: the capacity to precisely assess water depth in inches or millimeters. There is a great length for water level monitoring in aquariums, reservoirs, and liquid containers, and it is available in four distinct sizes: 4′′, 15′′, 23′′, and 35′′. Only included with the Apex Pro.

TRIDENT - MARINE AQUARIUM WATER ANALYZER

APEX--

Maintaining optimum levels of alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium is a crucial component of a perfect reef aquarium.

The Trident is an automatic testing system that checks the alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium levels in your saltwater aquarium on a regular basis. It then sends the results to your Apex so you can receive notifications and adjust your dosing. When Combined with the DOS It creates a fully automated process for the correct dosing of supplements, keeping them at consistent levels.

FINALLY, TOSS ALL THOSE TEST KITS!

Syringes, vials, endpoints, colors, and expiration dates are no longer important for alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium. Now, wherever you are in the world, you can instantly access the most recent readings for alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium!

APEX--
APEX--

The Trident is an automatic titration colorimeter that is self-contained. Let’s put it as simply as we can because that is definitely a mouthful. When you test your water, you already do a color-changing titration and evaluate the results. The Trident essentially automates this process.

The Trident meticulously blends its reagents with a small bit of aquarium water sample on a regular basis. It is measuring (titrating with a fine peristaltic pump) the amounts of each required to achieve the desired color change as it works (determined by the electronic colorimeter). It transfers this sample/reagent fluid to your garbage container once the titration is complete. After analyzing the test’s results, it logs the value in your Apex.

SIMPLE PLUG & PLAY SET UP

In about 15 minutes, you able to jump from the setup to testing! Contrary to conventional testing methods, there are no chemicals to mix, tubes to cut, pumps to calibrate, or probes to adjust. Simply connect one wire and two tubes, then launch the setup task on the Apex Fusion mobile app. It will guide you through the installation process and provide instructive videos as you go.

APEX--
APEX--

CONSISTENCY AND PRECISION, FOREVER

The Trident analyzes with a +/- 0.05 dKh accuracy for alkalinity and a 15 ppm accuracy for calcium and magnesium. This is superior to what humans can reliably accomplish with any test equipment that is available today.

TRULY UNDERSTAND YOUR AQUARIUM

You will be astounded by what you can observe happening after the Trident starts sending you frequent data. The impact of the daily light cycle on calcium carbonate absorption. Salt levels fall as you observe magnesium. a calcium dose that is not in time. Having a deeper understanding will ultimately help you maintain a reef that is more prosperous.

APEX--

ALERTS WHEREVER YOU ARE

When a parameter deviates from safe zone you define, your Apex can be configured to notify you or take immediate action. For instance, if you are dosing an alkalinity solution, a configuration error could cause your tank to be overdosed. That will be detected by the Trident, which will then notify you and allow you extra time to repair it before it is too late and save your aquarium. To further secure your tank, you can utilize the data from the Trident to control the operation of other devices (such dosers or solenoids).

ULTIMATE STABILITY WITH AUTO DOSING

Your corals will develop and thrive more effectively if you consistently maintain the right levels of alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium. However, coral uptake of these supplements frequently varies and necessitates more testing, as well as appearing to place us in a never-ending position of tweaking your dose amounts.

The Trident’s Automatic Dosing Control system, when combined with one or more of our D-S systems, provides a solution to this issue (ADC).

When set up on the Apex, ADC will use the Trident’s output to gradually increase or decrease the amount of additive your D’S sends out. We created this feature with safety in mind, so don’t worry. With ADC, you can tweak the dosage level only +/-35% after setting your target value and starting dose. The Apex will stop ADC, revert to your starting dosing amount, and notify you that you need to manually change your dosage level if it needs more dosing to maintain your aquarium at your goal value. ADC can then be enabled again, and it will keep directing your DS to keep you as close to the target as possible.

All three tests—alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium—can be performed using ADC. Additionally, you can utilize a single test value to change the amount of more than one additive given by the DS (i.e. Triton system).

SIMPLE, REGULAR CHANGES IN REAGENT

The reagent stored inside the Apex will last a full month when utilizing the default testing schedule of four (4) alkalinity, two (2) calcium, and two (2) magnesium tests each day. Simply slide out the drawer, take out the outdated bottle(s), and replace them with the new ones to add new reagent. You can also perform a calibration using the supplied calibration standard if you’d like.

REAGENTS COST ABOUT 9 CENTS EACH

For a hobbyist considering a test kit or automated system, the cost of reagents and recurrent fees is a legitimate worry. We kept those costs as low as possible when designing the Trident. Depending on the standard testing schedule of 4-Alk/2-Ca/2-Mg each day, reagent is sold in 2-month kits. These kits include a bottle of our calibration seawater sample, two bottles of Reagent A (changed monthly), one bottle of each of Reagent B and C (changed every two months), and two bottles of Reagent A. At least 240 alkalinity tests and 120 calcium and magnesium tests are included in the reagent package. In the US, these two-month packs are only $44.95 each.

SUPER-QUIET

If you pay close attention or have a really quiet room, you might
occasionally hear the Trident operating. It is also a few decibels
quieter than comparable automated testing methods. You’re unlikely to
hear it because it will be in your cabinet with your other equipment.
