The Radion G6 is proudly presented by EcoTech. The G6 significantly improves light output and color, adding to the success of the current Radion platform. The newest Radion has a new LED cluster and an optical system with hybrid hemispherically edge illumination that transform its best-in-class capabilities into mind-blowing ones.
Enjoy richer colors, more fluorescence, and the ultimate balance of crisp and actinic in your aquarium. Radion has set the standard for full spectrum aquarium LED lighting since its inception. The 6th generation pushes the limits of color rendition and fluorescence without sacrificing any of the well-known user-friendly flexibility.
G6 pushes deeper into the UV range with the addition of 395nm diodes, achieving a new level of coral and fish fluorescence. Both the Blue and Pro models have color channel rebalancing and an LED (Diode) mix to provide the most flexible and balanced spectra available in aquarium lighting.
395nm:Â Unlocks additional fluorescence in fish and corals.
400-450nm: Rebalancing the cluster with more blue and deep blue hues increases fluorescence and color rendition, as well as providing a new level of tunability in the blue spectrum between crisp and soft.actinic.
460-580nm: Reduced mid-range spectral output maintains color expression in pigmentation while allowing more wattage to be used in more photosynthetically useful and aesthetically valuable output.
665nm: Long wavelength diodes, when used correctly, produce light that is useful for coral photosynthesis as well as visual color balancing.

The Radion G6 boosts output from 110.5 degrees in the G5 to a mind-boggling 126.3 degrees in the G6.
This enhancement was made possible by changing the primary optic on the LEDs, which then incorporates with the configuration in the existing HEI (Hemispherically Edge Illuminating) secondary optic (lens).
Radion comes out on top when it comes to cost versus output. The HEI2 optical system outputs 126.3 degrees. As a result, it produces incredibly even PAR across nearly 4ft of coverage area, resulting in the highest average output Radion and possibly the most efficient aquarium light ever created.

Radion G6 models share the very same heat sink and driver framework as Radion G5 models (XR15 or XR30). This excitingly allows for an upgrade path from G5 to G6 using the same model (XR15 and XR30). The upgrade kit includes the G6 cluster and HEI lens, which work together to form the Hybrid Hemispherically Edge Illuminating (HEI2) lens system.
The Radion® diffuser employs a specially designed diffuser material with an optimal airspace, resulting in improved color mixing and more uniform caustics. A diffuser, when combined with the existing optics on Radion® fixtures, provides a more appealing light aesthetic with only a minor reduction in PAR.
